The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the UN’s global development agency, working across 170 countries and territories to fight poverty, promote governance, empower women, combat climate change, and implement sustainable development strategies.

This internship opportunity is hosted by the UNDP Information and Technology Management (ITM) Unit in Copenhagen, Denmark. The program specifically targets People Development Interns who will support capacity building, leadership development, onboarding, communication, data management, and organizational learning.

Eligibility Requirements for UNDP Internship 2026

To qualify for the UNDP Global Internship, applicants must meet one of the following academic conditions:

Academic Requirements

You must be:

Currently enrolled in a graduate (Master’s) program, or
In the final year of a Bachelor’s degree program, or
Recently graduated (internship must begin within one year of graduation)

Technical Requirements

Applicants should have:

Strong IT skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate)
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or InDesign (an added advantage)
Familiarity with e-learning tools such as Articulate 360, RISE, Captivate, HTML5 (asset)

Additional Requirements

Fluency in English
Good communication and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work collaboratively in diverse international teams
Knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset

The internship includes:
